Copper-bottomed plotter
Hurrah! Celeriac plants are out on the plot. Left them under a fleece tunnel for a week to get fully acclimatised to allotment conditions.
Talking of which, it's not just the plants that need hardening off. After my massive dig-and-weed-a-thon on Saturday, I have a seriously stiff arse. Sitting down is posing problems.
Wasn't aware gardening exercised the gluteus muscles so effectively. It's yet another benefit of the madcap funster allotment lifestyle.
Soilman: Buns of steel.

Wish it would have that effect on me. Well, not necessarily a 'buns of steel' effect, but a little lifting and firming would be nice. Still. I guess that's why magic tights were invented...

"stiff arse" lol. Is that a medical term?

Ah the joys of aging - I discovered the stiff arse syndrome a few weeks ago on the only warm enough day so far to be outside. I'm expecting another bout as soon as the weather warms. The celeriac looks great.

They look good Soilman!
Lol at the 'stiff arse' and 'buns of steel'...
I've still not managed to put anything into the ground on the plot, sigh. Ah well, better late than never huh?

Well done you! As far as the stiff backside goes, one way of dealing with it - seriously - is to put an old tennis ball under each foot while you watch telly the night after doing a lot of digging or bending - just rolling the ball around under your feet stretches out the glutes and removes a lot of the muscle tightness you'd otherwise get next day.
